How the competition works:

In Brow Lift, the competitors are divided into the classes Junior, Stylist, and Master
- Create your competition entry and photograph your work.
Carefuly read the rules & our guide on how the photos should be taken.
- Submit your results online via Contest Galaxy before the deadline on September 26th.
The link to our online competition platform for your photos will be sent to your email.
- The winners will be presented during our livestream on Facebook in the group Look by Linn Awards 2026 on October 17th at 18:00 (6:00 PM CEST)
After the ceremony, you will receive your score and evaluation from our international jury.

Information about competition class:
In Brow Lift, the competition is divided into three different categories based on experience level, double-check that you have chosen the right competition class:
- Junior: For you who have worked with Brow Lift for 1-3 years
- Stylist: For all working professionals with at least 3 years of experience (non-educators)
- Master: For you who are or have been an educator/teacher in the field

The judges will score your entry based on the following criteria:
- Choice of Shape
(Evaluation of the design and shape of the eyebrows)
- Direction / Processing Time
(The final result must show a Brow Lift that is perfectly timed and processed. The brow hairs must be styled and shaped evenly. Points will be deducted if the hairs are under-processed, or if they are over-processed and show signs of damage)
- Symmetry
(The eyebrows must look symmetrical after the Brow Lift is completed. Direction, shape, and color are evaluated as a whole in this category)
- Brow Tint
(The color must be well-customized to the model's appearance and the overall design of the brow)
- Cleanliness
(Evaluation of the cleanliness and finish of the work. The skin around the eyebrows must be completely free from makeup and tint residue outside the brow shape. All unwanted hairs around the brow shape must be fully removed)
- Inner Corner
(The transition from the inner corner to the rest of the brow must be soft and smooth, without appearing too harsh or boxy)
- Outer Corner / Tail
(The brow must taper in a way that feels proportionate to the model and creates balance in the overall look)
- Overall Look
(A correctly executed Brow Lift customized to the model's natural features and face shape)
Applying serum/conditioning treatments to the brows before taking photos is permitted. The model may wear makeup, but nothing is allowed to be applied on the brow or on the skin near the eyebrows. Please read through the judging criteria carefully and make sure your entry photos clearly show all the parts the judges need to review. Each judge will provide detailed feedback on your work to help you develop as a stylist.
For the evaluation to be accurate, it is important that you submit high-contrast, sharp, and clear photos. If the work is blurry or unclear, it will result in a point deduction. The judges want to give you the fairest score possible, so take your time when creating your entry and during the photoshoot. To qualify for a podium finish (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place), a minimum score of 70% of the total points in your specific category is required.

Evaluation & Judging:
- The competition is judged by an independent jury consisting of experienced national and international experts.
- The judging is completely anonymous. All entries are coded before review and the judges have no access to the participants' names or personal details.
- The scoring system is 0–10 points, where 10 points represent the highest possible level.
- Written feedback is provided by the judges to help contestants understand their results and see how they can improve their skills.
Photographs of the Competition Entry:
- The entry must be your own work.
- The entry must be unique and cannot have participated in other competitions.
- Only single photos (no collages).
- High-resolution photos are required.
- Under no circumstances may the photos be edited or watermarked.
- Maximum of 9 photos.
- The contestant is allowed to use a professional photographer and professional lighting.
- Publishing your competition photos before October 17th will lead to disqualification.
- Models in the Classic Lashes, Volume Lashes, and Lash Lift categories must not have tattooed eyeliner.
- Models in the Brow Lift category must not have tattooed eyebrows.
- The model must not wear makeup on the skin around the working area, lashes, or brows.
General Information:
- Everyone is welcome to participate! You do not need to be trained by Look by Linn to enter.
- You are more than welcome to enter all categories of the competition, and it is also allowed to compete with multiple unique entries within the same category.
- You are allowed to compete as a trainee (trained, but not yet certified).
- The organizer reserves the right to disqualify a contestant if it turns out they have competed in the wrong category or experience level.
- The organizer is not responsible for technical issues or upload errors. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure the entry is submitted correctly.
- Participants upload their competition entries themselves to our online platform, Contest Galaxy.
- The participant must complete all work entirely by themselves. The use of AI-generated content or assistance from other people is strictly prohibited. Entries found to be created with help, or using work that does not belong to the participant, will be disqualified immediately.
- No refunds will be given in the event of disqualification. Please read all guidelines carefully before submitting.
Important Dates:
- Last day to purchase tickets: September 25th
- Last day to submit your entry on Contest Galaxy: September 26th. After this, the platform closes completely, and the option to upload photos expires. No entries will be accepted after this date.
- The winners will be presented during the award ceremony on October 17th at 18:00 (6:00 PM CEST) via the Look by Linn Awards livestream in the Facebook group ”Look by Linn Awards 2026”.
Results & Placements:
- Winning entries and all podium placements will be published with photos on our Instagram: @lookby_linnawards
- The names of the podium winners and the complete results list will be published on our website: www.lookbylinnawards.com. To protect participant privacy, all other placements will be kept completely anonymous using your unique entry number. Therefore, only the names of the top three winners will be made public.
- Shortly after the award ceremony, your scores and the jury’s full feedback will be available by logging into Contest Galaxy, on the same page where your competition photos were uploaded.
By participating in the competition and submitting photos, the contestant agrees that Look by Linn AB, including Look by Linn Awards, receives the right to use the submitted photos for marketing, informational, and communication purposes. The photos may be used without any time limit.
